Would your family like to lead a summer worship service together? It would be wonderful to have young voices and we have some Sundays still available. Please send an email with your interest, your proposed topic, or the name of a speaker you'd recommend, to Pam Parker (admin@cucwp.org).

1st-9th Grades - Last Class
In Person

This is the last Sunday of classes. Wear a mask, enter through the RE lobby, and visit the RE welcome table. After worship, please pick up children 4th grade and younger before coffee hour so RE leaders can attend other activities.

1st-5th Grade Class, Love Connects Us
Room 13 in the Red Hallway
Laura S is leading

Each of us has a personal calling that's as unique as a fingerprint ... discover what you love and then find a way to offer it to others in the form of service, working hard, and also allowing the energy of the universe to lead you. — Oprah Winfrey
In this concluding session, participants examine the promises the Blake covenant offers us—that we "dwell together in peace, seek the truth in love and help one another"—in the context of their own ties with family members, friends, and people in their congregation and wider communities. Participants affirm that we are both inheritors and active creators of our Unitarian Universalist faith tradition.

6th-7th Grade Class, Amazing Grace: Exploring Right and Wrong
Room 41 in the Green Hallway
Alex Z and Christine are leading

Respect yourself if you would have others respect you. — Baltasar Graci
This final session introduces the concepts of values and self-respect. It begins with a final round of Ethics Play and then asks what values make people virtuous. The story of Narcissus leads to a discussion of reasonable self-respect. The group talks about the values and respect their families share with other members of their congregation. Some wall-to-wall questions help the group review the four sessions that focused on ethical development. Faith in Action asks the group to create and sign an ethics covenant.

8th-9th Grade Class, Coming of Age Handbook & Compass Points
Room 11 in the Red Hallway & & Zoom 8428
Tracy B and Mentors are leading

The Coming of Age worship services are two weeks away! This Sunday, we are workshopping credo statements and ask youth to bring their rough draft to share. They will give each other encouragement and support as we head into the final stretch. Tracy will join by Zoom: https://bit.ly/CUUC-RE  | Meeting ID: 817 388 428 · Passcode: 468468.

We look forward to seeing you!!
