Unitarian composer Edvard Grieg once wrote, “Artists like Bach and Beethoven erected churches and temples on the heights. I only wanted… to build dwellings for people in which they might feel happy and at home.” I cannot think of a better representation of humility in music, so I am happy to offer the music of Edvard Grieg this morning, on our first Sunday of resumed in-person worship.
