The Music of
Unitarian composer Edvard Grieg seemed like the perfect way to return to
in-person worship at CUUC. Contrasting himself with other icons of Western Art
Music, Grieg once wrote “Artists
like Bach and Beethoven erected churches and temples on the heights. I only
wanted... to build dwellings for people in which they might feel happy and at
home.” His work seems
like the perfect embodiment of our covenantial creed,, as we gather to reconnect,
remember, and reflect. Read on for programming details and stay tuned for
spoken introductions.
