So many treats from the great musicians of the CUUC
congregation in store for this Sunday’s worship service! Kim and Christian
Force offer a live rendition of Jason Robert Brown’s moving song “Hope,” and
the CUUC Choir presents its virtual version of the uplifting “Nothin’ Gonna
Stumble My Feet.” Surely, no mere pandemic will stumble our intrepid choir’s
feet or anything else!
Solo piano music includes music evocative of the theme of Hope, from an
arrangement of the traditional Spiritual “The Angels Changed My Names” to works
by Chopin and Beethoven which seem to resolve and transcend tensions and
strife. The Parting Music is a tribute to our youth and their Halloween
celebration. Read on for programming details.
