CUC Music

Message from Music Director Adam Kent

CUC Music Group

Dear Musicians and Music Lovers at CUC:

Last spring, we began work organizing a UU Musicians Group with several goals in mind:
  1. To engage in the spiritual practice of making music.
  2. To provide a supportive environment and structure in which musicians of all ages and in all genres at CUC can encourage one another in their musical endeavors.
  3. To enable musically-minded parishioners to form collaborations.
  4. To enrich Sunday morning worship and the R.E. program with occasional performances by congregants.
  5. To provide musical coverage for summer worship services.
We established a list of interested parishioners last June, but we’re eager to expand our ranks. If you play a musical instrument or sing — at whatever level and in whatever style — please consider joining us this Sunday, Sep 21, at about 11:45 a.m. at the piano in the Sanctuary for an organizational meeting.

If you’re involved with the auditions for Amahl, also scheduled for the same time in Fellowship Hall, don’t worry: you can excuse yourself as needed.

We look forward to seeing many of you on Sunday, and sharing musical experiences.
If you’re interested in participating or have any questions, please contact me at adamkentpianist@gmail.com.

In fellowship,
Adam
